One of the first amps I ever profiled, I used this amp for many years in live stages, it was always my workhorse and lived at my rehearsal room, I never had to tweek this amp in over the 2 years running it. – and even with different guitars, it just seem to remain true..Amazing clarity for the breakup here.

Not really a high gain freak like other mesa family, but this one provides that spongy, flabby sort of sound, (in a good way) – this makes it loose, and great for lead play with amazing overtones. – if your into fast lead play this is the right amp for you!.

Not the most powerful in the range. – but good for what it does.. and that provides a low watt amp for low stage use, or studio rooms. – gain structure is quite thick, more rock than blues though.. good amp, great cleans!

What you Get…
This amp was interesting, it had its circuits modded to take the bright caps out. – although these amps come stock slightly bright, Leo was always one to push for that Bright and twangy sound. – whilst this was a lot darker but it still sounded like a fender even after heavy modification.
