What you get…

This pack is a mixture of Boutique and classic amps than are often found on celebrity stages, and for a good reason, they are great for live performance, and equally as good in the studio. – this pack is low to mid gain, great for Rock/Classic rock & blues.

  • 20 Great amps at your fingertips
  • All captured from clean to cranked and everything in-between
  • Various mics used, 57, Royer 121, U87, AKG 414 into a Neve 1073 mic pre.
  • Some amps contain Stomp effects such as Tubescreamer, Klon, Honeybee etc.
  • 185 Profiles for Rock ready tones!

What we recommend…

  • Strat/Tele for the low gain amps
  • Lespaul or Humbucker for the higher gain
  • Try Increasing the “Definition” for a brighter/tighter tone
  • Try decreasing the “Definition” for a darker/vintage/looser tone
  • These were created using reference monitors, so use EQ to taste to adjust to your needs

The “how we did it” Bits…..

Before we capture amps, we play-test them first with various guitars in different styles, even put them through various stomps to see if we can gain any advantage in that area. (if so we use it) – With the tests complete, we can determine the best route to take, either to mic it up aggressively, Naturally

or even a laid back approach, what guitar works better, and if we need to use any additional tools to help us get there..

Each Amp set has various “stages” of profiles, from clean+variations, breakup+variations all the way through to max gain. – this gives you total control over the amps voicing characteristics, and lets you “correctly” choose the right amount of gain for your guitar, rather than artificially adding it afterthefact.. – assuming we got it correct, then the rest is pure ear candy!
